Exploring the World of Santorini Wine at the Wine Museum

Last Septemeber I had the opportunity to visit the Santorini Wine Museum and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience. Located in the heart of the island, the museum is dedicated to showcasing the rich history and culture of Santorini’s wines.

Upon arriving at the museum, we were given an audio device and a map to guide me through the self-guided tour. Each area of the museum was numbered, making it easy to follow along and learn about the history and production of Santorini wines. I found the tour to be both informative and engaging.

After the tour, we were led into a separate room where we got to taste three different wines. The wines were all delicious, but the standout for me was the Kamaritis, a dessert wine that was rich and complex. The price for the tour and wine tasting was only £12, which I found to be great value for the experience.

Overall, I highly recommend visiting the Santorini Wine Museum to anyone interested in learning more about the wines of the island and their history. The self-guided tour is well-done, and the wine tasting is a great way to finish it off.
